Publications

HWG has published several works which include a diary by members entitled ‘Peeps Into The Present’, written to compliment the celebration of the tercentenary of Samuel Pepys’ death.

Books of short stories, limericks and poetry have also been published and, more recently, the group’s third edition of its own ‘mini-sagas’ - a mini-saga is a complete story of exactly 50 words plus title which may contain up to 16 words.

Many members have been successful in having short stories and articles accepted by well-known magazines, a large number have successfully published fiction and non-fiction books using the POD (print on demand) system and, over the years, a few members have also had their stories published by well-known publishing companies.

We are proud to announce the arrival of Josh Moran's latest book Kobra
(February 2009)

The fortunes of war are turning against the Nazis. Hitler orders the immediate deployment of Kobra, the Luftwaffe’s last ditch war-winning hi-tech weapon. First Officer Sarah Porter of the Air Transport Auxiliary and Wing Commander John Messenger are the only people that stand any chance of surviving the potentially suicidal mission. But capture, sexual torment, injury, death and disinformation can sway the balance of fortune. Will the mission succeed? And what of the future?
