Macha is the linchpin of HWG, providing support and encouragement to its committee; she compiles and publishes group work, i.e. 'mini-sagas', produces leaflets etc., organises events and lots of behind the scenes work.
Macha was born in Africa and came to England in 1967; she lives in Godmanchester with her husband and particularly enjoys writing children's stories. She is currently working on her autobiography.

Hazel is contact for all new members, letting them know how much information she requires and providing them with the group 'welcome pack'. She will then introduce new members to the group at the next monthly meeting.
She has been successful in having short stories published in a variety of magazines, including 'Peoples' Friend' and 'The Best of British'.
Hazel and her husband retired to St Ives in 1998 from Canterbury, Kent. Her two children live in Nottinghamshire and they have given Hazel and her husband the joy of six grandchildren - three boys and three girls.

Roger is currently working on a project relating to horse racing which is proving to be very successful.
He is group treasurer and loves taking our money! He keeps excellent accounting records and holds a tight rein on expenses to ensure the group continues successfully.
